We all love to overindulge during the festive period and the short days and long nights make it all the more difficult to get some exercise. This challenge is here to give you some motivation to squeeze some enjoyable exercise in to your busy festive schedule. We will also change some lives in the developing world along the way!
How many Kilo(meter)s can you gain between Christmas eve and New Year's eve? We'll be keeping track of how well everyone is doing by using a Strava challenge. This will allow you to see how everybody else is doing too. Although the aim of the game is to try to collect the most kilometers, prizes this year will be awarded every day for the person judged to have had best adventure of the day. Any activity you do on Strava will count, be it skiing, indoor cycling or outdoor swimming! If you are enjoying this challenge, we would love you to donate to World Bicycle Relief. Any donation will be very welcome and well used, but we thought you might like to know that a new bike to change a life in the developing world costs CHF 155 😉. You can share the challenge with others using the address: bit.ly/xmaskilos22
Why are we doing this? World Bicycle Relief is literally a life-changing charity. They provide their bespoke Buffalo bikes to communities in the developing world. These bikes have led to:
Every CHF 155 we earn will provide a bike to somebody in need in the developing world. What a wonderful gift to give over this festive period! How do I sign up? Simply fill in this form and make sure you are following Jamie Robertson on Strava. He will add you to the challenge. We would love you to make a donation to WBR for taking part and mention the challenge in some of your Strava activities over the festive period. Maybe some of your friends will be feeling festive too!
