A - Absolutely, there are some differences in how you will be assessed depending on if you are a high school or IGCSE student. But the course content will be the same. Q - Do I have to be an aspiring olympic athlete to take this course? A - Definitely not, although you will be assessed on your practical ability, you do you not need to be competing at a high standard. In fact, the most successful students are those who are good all-round athletes who can show a range of skills across different sports rather than super specialised high performers in one activity. As long as the activity is one of those listed in the IGCSE criteria you can submit a video of you performing and we can use this as an assessment. You will however still be required to attend and participate in practical lessons. Q - If I take this course do I still get core PE on my timetable? A - Yes, this course is in addition to your core PE lessons. Please don't hesitate to contact Mr Moores or Coach Jamie if you have any further questions. [email protected] [email protected]
