Let's get started with a bang, I know we have done this one before, but if you have kids in secondary school, this is their challenge today so you could all do it together to get the whole family back on track!
If you haven't got kids in secondary school - you probably have lots of energy left after the Spring "break", so no excuses for not keeping up ;) LET'S GO!
Woo hoo - it's the holidays!!!
Here's a challenge to keep you busy and pass the time indoors.
Remember, just because it's the holidays is no reason to stop being active. Use Sworkit, think of silly games to play with your family, look back over your favourite daily challenges so far, set yourself targets. These are all things that will keep us healthy and happy in these trying times.

Here's a fun game to play on your own or with a partner. Can you get through a whole deck of cards?
If you are more than one, take turns turning over a card and doing the exercise (eg. 10 jumping jacks for the 10 of hearts). If you turn over a picture card (Jack, Queen, King, Ace), you can nominate another player to do an exercise of your choice.
If you are on your own, you can take a break when you turn over a picture card (you will have earned it!)

Tabata workouts are very popular these days. High intensity, 20 seconds on 10 seconds off.
In 1996, Dr Tabata found that his subjects doing this style of training, 5 days a week for 6 weeks, resulted in a 28% increase in anaerobic and 14% increase in aerobic fitness.
I have linked to a Joe Wicks' Tabata video here, some of you may recognise him as the guy doing excellent PE lessons every morning during this lockdown - brilliant!
If you would like to do your own Tabata workouts, Circle Timer is an excellent free app to tell you when to start and stop. It's available on iOS and Android.
